Dan Bowen was appointed president of Orlando Health Sebastian (Fla.) River Hospital, effective Jan. 19, according to a hospital news release shared with Becker’s.
Mr. Bowen most recently served as market COO for Piedmont Medical Center in South Carolina, where he oversaw daily operations at Piedmont Medical Center Rock Hill and Piedmont Medical Center Fort Mill. He also led renovation projects and expanded service lines at the South Carolina facilities, according to the release.
He previously held leadership roles at Health First, based in Rockledge, Fla., and served in the U.S. Air Force for more than two decades, retiring as a lieutenant colonel.
Sebastian River is a 145-bed hospital serving Indian River County and the surrounding Treasure Coast region. It is part of Orlando (Fla.) Health, a nonprofit academic health system with about 41,000 employees.
