Oregon system taps own executive as hospital CEO

Dan Rackham, PharmD, was appointed CEO of Samaritan Lebanon (Ore.) Community Hospital.

Dr. Rackham most recently served as chief pharmacy officer of Corvallis, Ore.-based Samaritan Health Services since 2020, according to an Oct. 7 news release from the health system.

Wendie Wunderwald, RN, was named CEO of the hospital in November. She recently retired after 40 years with the system, a spokesperson confirmed.

Dr. Rackham joined the system as an inpatient pharmacy volunteer in 2003, later working in roles such as pharmacy manager, the release said.

Samaritan Health Services is a five-hospital system that includes primary care and speciality clinics.
