Olympic Medical Center CEO Eric Lewis to retire

Eric Lewis, CEO of Port Angeles, Wash.-based Olympic Medical Center, will retire May 1.

Mr. Lewis joined Olympic in 1998 as CFO and was selected as CEO in 2006.

He is retiring as a hospital administrator “to refocus my life,” he said in a news release, and “plans to take some time off and then evaluate options.”

“I plan to find ways to continue to be an advocate for Olympic Medical Center, rural healthcare across our state and patient access to affordable care,” Mr. Lewis said.

During his tenure as CEO, Mr. Lewis was appointed board chair of the Washington State Hospital Association and was board president of the association of Washington Public Hospital Districts. The American Hospital Association also recognized him as a grassroots leader, among other accolades and awards.
