Akron Medical Center Rehires Former Exec, Names Him President

Akron (Ohio) General Medical Center has rehired Alan Papa and named him president, according to a Columbus Business First report.

Previously, Mr. Papa was senior vice president for network services and operations for Akron General. He left three years ago to serve as COO for Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. The 511-bed Akron has rehired the former executive to lead the hospital, effective Jan. 31.
