OhioHealth hospital taps operations advisor

Ryan Newland, BSN, RN, has been named senior advisor of operations at OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton, Ohio, effective April 24.

Mr. Newland will partner with hospital leaders and teams to support day-to-day operations and advance efforts to strengthen patient care and patient experience, according to an April 28 hospital news release shared with Becker’s.

He brings more than two decades of healthcare experience to the role. He began his career in 2005 and spent 15 years at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio, where he held leadership roles including house supervisor and director of nursing.

Mr. Newland joined Columbus-based OhioHealth in late 2021 as administrative nurse manager. He has supported several initiatives at Hardin Memorial, including the launch of the swing bed program in 2022 and the virtual cardiology telehealth consult service earlier in 2026.

OhioHealth operates 16 hospitals, five joint-venture hospitals and more than 200 ambulatory sites across a 50-county area.
