Michael O’Neal II, MD, has been appointed CEO of Ochsner LSU Health – Monroe (La.) Medical Center.
Dr. O’Neal has served as chief medical officer of Monroe Medical Center since 2020, according to an Aug. 6 hospital news release. He joined Ochsner LSU Health in 2020 as chief medical officer and hospitalist at Monroe Medical Center and also serves as an assistant professor of internal medicine at LSU Health Shreveport (La.).
Dr. O’Neal succeeds Mark Randolph, who will remain with Ochsner LSU Health as he transitions to CEO of Ochsner LSU Health – Academic Medical Center in Shreveport.
The 233-bed Monroe Medical Center is northeast Louisiana’s first level 3 trauma center. Ochsner LSU Health provides healthcare to more than 162,000 patients across North Louisiana through three acute care hospitals, multiple outpatient facilities and clinics.
