NYU Langone taps RWJBarnabas physician to lead maternal-fetal medicine

NYU Langone Health in New York City has appointed Justin Brandt, MD, as the director of the division of maternal-fetal medicine in the NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s department of obstetrics and gynecology.

In this new role, Dr. Brandt will oversee quality and care for the more than 15,000 babies born across the NYU Langone Health system each year. One of his primary areas of expertise is in high-risk pregnancy care. Dr. Brandt also has a “particular interest in providing obstetric services for transgender people and people with diverse gender identities,” according to a March 21 news release.

Dr. Brandt will join NYU Langone Health from West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health, where he previously served as the director of performance improvement and quality assurance for the department of obstetrics and gynecology.
