Selwena Brewster, MD, has been named chief medical officer of NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health in New York City.
Dr. Brewster previously served as associate CMO at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where she led initiatives to improve patient outcomes, reduce length of stay and enhance overall operational efficiency, according to a Dec. 2 news release from the health system.
As CMO of the South Brooklyn Health campus – which includes Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital and a range of outpatient services — she will oversee clinical operations, medical staff and medical budgets. She will also continue serving as interim chief quality officer at South Brooklyn Health.
Dr. Brewster succeeds Terence Brady, MD, who retired earlier this year after 13 years at South Brooklyn Health.
