NYC Health + Hospitals taps clinical operations VP

New York City-based NYC Health + Hospitals, an 11-hospital system, appointed Sewit Teckie, MD, as vice president of enterprise clinical operations.

In her new role, Dr. Teckie will lead efforts to expand shared clinical services to improve access to specialists, build a sustainable workforce and grow medical education programs, according to a Nov. 19 news release from the system. The health system has about 6,000 full-time affiliate medical staff. 

Dr. Teckie assumed the role Nov. 8. She previously served as system chief of clinical affairs and joined the organization in 2022 as system chief of radiation oncology. Before that, she was an associate professor and attending physician in radiation medicine at New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health, according to her LinkedIn profile
