Northwestern Memorial HealthCare taps CEO

Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial HealthCare has named Howard Chrisman, MD, its next CEO.

Dr. Chrisman, a radiologist, joined the health system in 1997, according to a news release shared with Becker’s. He has held various leadership roles, including executive vice president of clinical operations, president of Northwestern Medical Group and — most recently — president and chief operating officer. 

Dr. Chrisman assumed his new role Jan. 1.
