Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital in New York City has appointed Erin Muckey, MD, as vice president and chief medical officer.
Dr. Muckey will oversee patient care, quality and growth at the hospital, according to an April 14 news release from New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health. She will also partner with hospital and health system leadership to support service expansion in downtown Manhattan.
She most recently held dual roles at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and University Hospital in Newark, N.J., serving as associate chief medical officer of the hospital and medical director of the emergency department.
In those roles, she led quality initiatives that reduced readmissions and mortality rates and directed operations for an emergency department with over 107,000 annual visits at a level 1 trauma center, the release said.
