Northshore University HealthSystem selects new CFO: 4 things to know

Evanston, Ill.-based Northshore University HealthSystem appointed Doug Welday CFO, effective Oct. 15.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Welday most recently served as senior vice president of finance at Spectrum Health, a nine-hospital system in Grand Rapids, Mich.

2. He previously worked at Oakwood Health System, now a part of Royal Oak, Mich.-based Beaumont Health, where he held several leadership roles, including CFO and COO.

3. He holds an MBA from Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan.

4. Mr. Welday succeeds Gary Weiss, who is retiring.
