Northern Hospital of Surry County appoints CMO: 3 points

Mount Airy, N.C.-based Northern Hospital of Surry County tapped Jason W. Edsall, MD, to serve as CMO, effective, Jan. 1.

Here are three points:

1. Dr. Edsall is a full-time attending emergency physician in the hospital’s emergency department and serves as medical director of its advanced primary stroke center. He will continue to fulfill his current responsibilities when he becomes CMO.

2. He has also served as chief of staff of the hospital in 2010 and 2018.

3. He is a member of the National Association of EMS Physicians and a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
