Here are four things to know:
1. Ms. Sutton is currently executive vice president and COO of the system, in addition to serving as administrator of North Oaks Medical Center and chairman of North Oaks Physician Group.
2. She is board-certified as a healthcare executive by the American College of Healthcare Executives. She has also served as president of ACHE’s southeast Louisiana chapter.
3. She replaces James E. Cathey, Jr., who will transition to a new role within the system, effective Dec. 31, 2016.
4. Mr. Cathey has led the health system for the last 30 years.
