Mr. Reif is the former associate vice president and financial analyst of the Charlotte, N.C.-based operations of Quorum Health Resources. He succeeds Chris Riggs, who resigned from his post effective Sept. 10 to take a position as CFO of Pender Memorial Hospital in Burgaw, N.C.
Mr. Reif’s appointment comes as BRHS prepares to evaluate four proposals for healthcare providers interested in a possible merger. Three of the proposals come from Greenville, N.C.-based University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina, Community Health Systems of Brentwood, Tenn., and Brim Healthcare of Brentwood, Tenn.
