FirstHealth of the Carolinas CEO Resigns

Charles Frock has announced his resignation as CEO of FirstHealth of the Carolinas in Pinehurst, N.C., according to a Pilot report.

Mr. Frock has been credited with driving the health system to the forefront in regional healthcare delivery. He took over as president and CEO of then Moore Regional Hospital in 1991. Four years later, he helped merge Moore Regional with Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy, N.C., creating FirstHealth.

He became the CEO of the newly merged health system. Before he retires next year, Mr. Frock will oversee the completion of several major projects, including the opening of the Reid Heart Center and the Clara McLean Hospitality House.
