CEO Steve Schultz Resigns From North Carolina’s Lexington Memorial Hospital

Steve Schultz, CEO of Lexington (N.C.) Memorial Hospital, is resigning effective May 1, according to a Dispatch report.

The resignation was a mutual decision by Mr. Schultz and hospital administrators, according to the report. Donny Lambeth, president of Lexington’s affiliate Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., and a board member will assume CEO responsibilities until a replacement is named.
Mr. Schultz has served at Lexington Memorial since 2008.
