Miami, Fla.-based Nicklaus Children’s Health System named Marcos Mestre, MD, senior vice president, chief physician executive and chief clinical officer.
Dr. Mestre will lead the system’s clinical enterprise, improve quality and clinical outcomes, support growth of its pediatric clinical institutes, strengthen physician alignment, as well as oversee the advancement of its academic mission in partnership with Miami-based FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, according to a July 28 system news release.
He will oversee physician leadership, including the chief medical officers of the system’s hospitals and pediatric specialists, the chief quality officer and physician leaders.
