Nicklaus Children’s names COO

Yair Katz has been appointed health system COO of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.

Mr. Katz has served as president of the system’s Broward (Fla.) market over the past year, he wrote in a June 3 LinkedIn post. During that time, the organization opened two new children’s hospitals and strengthened community partnerships.

In his new role, Mr. Katz will support operational leadership across the system’s hospitals, institutes, ambulatory network and urgent care centers.

Mr. Katz brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience to Nicklaus Children’s, previously serving as chief executive of Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach in California.

Nicklaus Children’s has 474 licensed beds across three hospital campuses.
