Newton-Wellesley Hospital Names Kerry Watson President

Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Mass., has named Kerry Watson president, according to a Boston Business Journal report.

Mr. Watson will take over from Patrick Jordan III, the hospital’s COO, who has served as interim president since August 2012 when Michael Jellinek, MD, stepped down. Dr. Jellinek resigned from the post of president to be able to fully focus on his responsibilities as chief of clinical affairs at Boston-based Partners HealthCare System, the parent company of Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Mr. Jordan will continue his role as COO.

Most recently, Mr. Watson served as president of Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, N.C., according to the report.
