Newton-Wellesley Hospital appoints 1st ever chief medical & innovation officer: 3 things to know

Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Mass., selected Louis Jenis, MD, as its inaugural chief medical and innovation officer, according to a Worcester Business Journal Online report.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Jenis, an orthopedic spine surgeon, has been practicing for more than 20 years.

2. He completed his fellowship at UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester, Mass.

3. As chief medical and innovation officer, Dr. Jenis will focus on identifying new care delivery pathways as well as fulfilling the duties of a CMO.
