Lowville, N.Y.-based Lewis County Health System has named CFO Jeffery Hellinger as its next CEO.
Mr. Hellinger will succeed current CEO Gerald Cayer Aug. 4, who is retiring after nine years leading the system, according to a May 5 health system news release.
Mr. Hellinger has been part of the system’s management team since 2004 and has served as CFO since 2013. He oversees several departments, including finance, information systems, patient accounting, payroll, communications and admissions.
He has supported financial performance and operational stability, along with strategic initiatives across hospital, primary care and long-term care services, the release said.
Lewis County Health System operates Lewis County General Hospital, community clinics, a residential healthcare facility, and home health and hospice services
