New York system expands COO’s role

Ronette Wiley, BSN, RN, COO of Arnot Health and Centralus Health, has taken on an expanded role as president of Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, N.Y.

Ms. Wiley began the role Aug. 31, succeeding Jonathan Lawrence, who retired, according to a Sept. 5 health system news release. In her new role, she will oversee operations and strategic direction for the medical center.

She brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across nursing, quality and hospital operations and will continue serving in her current COO roles.

The CEO of Centralus Health, Martin Stallone, MD, announced plans in August to step down for a new role.

Centralus Health is a five-hospital system formed through the merger of Ithaca, N.Y.-based Cayuga Health System and Elmira, N.Y.-based Arnot Health in January.
