New York system COO joins UPMC

Pittsburgh-based UPMC has appointed Tracy Gates as president of UPMC Chautauqua, a 277-bed hospital in Jamestown, N.Y.

She most recently served as senior vice president, COO, and vice president of system integration for Centralus Health, a newly formed health system in New York. In that role, she oversaw operations across three hospitals and two skilled nursing facilities.

UPMC operates more than 40 hospitals and 800 outpatient sites across Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland.
