New York hospital taps new chief medical officer

Guthrie Cortland (N.Y.) Medical Center has tapped Philip Heavner, MD, to lead clinical operations as its new chief medical officer, according to an Aug. 2 news release shared with Becker’s

Dr. Heavner joined the medical center three years ago and has since been serving as the system chief of pediatrics. 

He will take on this new role Sept. 5.
