Cassandra Davis, MS, was appointed COO of Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, N.Y., effective June 15, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.
Ms. Davis, who joined ECMC in 2008, most recently served as senior vice president of operations, where she oversaw surgical, rehabilitation, ambulatory, population health, pharmacy and lab services, along with plant operations and capital projects.
Her recent accomplishments include introducing the Symani Surgical System in 2025, making ECMC the first hospital in Western New York to deploy the robotic microsurgery technology, and opening a new Breast Health Center that same year in the Delevan-Grider neighborhood of Buffalo, according to the release.
Ms. Davis succeeds Andrew Davis, who was named president and CEO effective the same date.
ECMC is a 573-bed academic medical center and Western New York’s only Level 1 Adult Trauma Center.
