New York City hospital taps president

Michael Fosina was appointed president of Calvary Hospital in New York City, according to a Feb. 11 news release shared with Becker’s.

Mr. Fosina succeeds Jeff Menkes, who served as interim president and CEO. He had served as COO of Calvary from March until his appointment as president in January.

Before joining Calvary, Mr. Fosina held senior executive roles at NewYork-Presbyterian in New York City, overseeing Lawrence Homecare, Jansen Hospice, The Bereavement Center of Westchester, NYP/Lower Manhattan Hospital and NYP/Allen Hospital, the release said. He also served as director of integration during the merger of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

Calvary provides care for terminally ill adults with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. The organization, celebrating its 125th anniversary, recently integrated services with its parent organization, ArchCare, the healthcare ministry of the Archdiocese of New York.
