New York City hospital taps chief human resources officer

NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health in New York City has named Mary Maldonado as chief human resources officer.

Ms. Maldonado brings more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunications, nonprofit and government sectors, according to a June 27 announcement shared with Becker’s. She has held senior HR roles at Time Warner Cable, Comcast and Charter Communications, where she led national labor relations and enterprise-wide workforce initiatives.

“This opportunity brings together everything I value about leadership, service, and people — advancing meaningful HR work in an environment that reflects its community and supports those most in need,” Ms. Maldonado said in a Nov. 6 LinkedIn post

South Brooklyn Health is part of the NYC Health + Hospitals, which employs more than 45,000 people.
