John Manfredo has been appointed COO of Sierra Medical Center in Reno, Nev.
Mr. Manfredo brings nearly two decades of healthcare leadership experience to the role, according to an April 1 LinkedIn post from Reno-based Northern Nevada Health System.
He most recently served as COO of Norman (Okla.) Regional Health System, where he oversaw operations across three public trust hospitals totaling 387 licensed beds, 4,000 employees and more than 500 providers.
In that role, he led a $320 million multi-campus strategic transformation initiative, including development of a freestanding emergency department and joint ventures in behavioral health and oncology care. He also helped lead performance improvement efforts that resulted in measurable gains in patient experience.
Mr. Manfredo started his career as a registered radiology technologist.
