Orlando, Fla.-based Nemours Children’s Hospital, part of Jacksonville, Fla.-based Nemours Children’s Health, has named Heather Fagan, MD, chair of the department of pediatrics and pediatrician-in-chief.
In her role, she will provide strategic oversight for all aspects of the hospital’s pediatric department, according to a July 2 hospital news release.
Dr. Fagan was also named chair of the department of pediatrics at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine-Nemours Children’s Health and will retain her role as the hospital’s designated institutional official for graduate medical education. In these roles, she will lead the department’s efforts to support the growth of medical students.
Dr. Fagan first joined the hospital in 2014 to develop its graduate medical education infrastructure, according to the release.
