Mr. Rice previously served as CEO of Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health for a decade before retiring last year. Now he serves as Cone Health’s CEO emeritus, representing the system on various state and national healthcare organization boards, according to the Cone Health website.
As NCHL president and board chairman, he will serve a two-year appointment in this role, and his focus will be on building relationships with industry leaders and other national healthcare organizations, according to the report.
