Nantucket Cottage Hospital CMO to step down

Diane Pearl, MD, will step down from her CMO position at Nantucket (Mass.) Cottage Hospital, an affiliate of Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital, at the end of September. She will remain a practicing physician at the hospital, said a news release shared with Becker’s Sept. 2.

“It was a great honor to be appointed to serve as CMO in the early days of the COVID pandemic, and it has been truly inspiring to watch the entire NCH staff come together as a team,” Dr. Pearl said. “As a result of that teamwork we were able to keep our hospital running smoothly during those most difficult times. I never doubted that we had among us all the talent and dedication we needed to keep our doors open and to serve our community, despite the unprecedented challenges.”

Dr. Pearl is the hospital’s first CMO.
