Catholic Health East Shuffles Executives at Florida’s Holy Cross, Mercy Hospitals

Catholic Health East has promoted John Johnson, CEO of Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Mercy Hospital in Miami to executive vice president of ministry operation for the health system, effective May 1, according to a report by the South Florida Business Journal.

Holy Cross COO Patrick Taylor, MD, will be promoted to president and COO of Holy Cross, while Mercy COO Manuel Anton III, MD, will serve as president and COO for that hospital.

Mr. Johnson’s new role will have him oversee Catholic Health East’s mergers and acquisitions in the southeast, according to the report.
