Mr. Stokes came out of retirement to lead the hospital on an interim basis. He was previously CEO of Nacogdoches (Texas) Medical Center, a Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare facility, for a decade.
Steven Smith, the hospital’s previous interim CEO, resigned Feb. 3. He left for a new job opportunity.
The Nacogdoches Memorial board of directors is searching for a hospital service partner and has hired a firm to help identify one.
