Charleston, S.C.-based MUSC Health has named Michael Haney associate chief revenue cycle officer, according to a post on his LinkedIn page.

Mr. Haney previously spent eight years at Ensemble Health Partners, most recently serving as a senior vice president.

Before joining Ensemble, he served as COO at  Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare’s Parallon Shared Services. In that role, he was responsible for all billing, collections, appeals, overpayments and underpayments for 26 HCA hospitals and other external clients in Florida.

Mr. Haney said in a LinkedIn post he announced his retirement last year, but the time away gave him space to reflect, and he realized he still has “more to contribute to the revenue cycle management field.”

“With renewed energy and a fresh perspective, I have decided to put retirement on hold,” he said.
