Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center names Dr. Joseph Perras CEO: 5 things to know

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, Vt., appointed Joseph Perras, MD, CEO, effective Jan. 11, 2017.

Here are five things to know:

1. Dr. Perras currently serves as the facility’s CMO. He will continue as CMO, in addition to serving as CEO.

2. Prior to joining Mt. Ascutney Hospital in 2013, he worked at Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth-Hitchcock for 12 years, where he served in a number of roles, including interim section chief of hospital medicine and medical director of care management.

3. He serves on committees within OneCare Vermont, an ACO.

4. He is also currently Mt. Ascutney Hospital’s primary clinical representative to Dartmouth–Hitchcock, the hospital’s partner.

5. Dr. Perras replaces Gay Landstrom, PhD, RN, who served as interim CEO since June 2016. Dr. Landstrom is leaving to take on the CNO role at Warren, Mich.-based St. John Providence health system.
