Joshua Kugler, MD, has been appointed interim president of Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, N.Y.
Dr. Kugler, a longtime physician leader at Mount Sinai South Nassau, previously served as chief medical officer and clinical chair of the department of emergency medicine, according to the summer 2026 hospital announcement shared with Becker’s. He began his career at the hospital in 2001.
Dr. Kugler succeeds Adhi Sharma, MD, who retired July 1 after nearly five years as president. Under Dr. Sharma’s leadership, Mount Sinai South Nassau expanded clinical services, modernized facilities and strengthened its reputation as a leader in patient safety and quality.
