MLK Community Hospital Names Elaine Batchlor CEO

The Martin Luther King, Jr.-Los Angeles Healthcare Corporation has named Elaine Batchlor, MD, as the CEO of the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in South Los Angeles.

Dr. Batchlor has more than 20 years of experience and is currently the CMO for L.A. Care, the largest public health plan in the nation.

The new hospital is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in 2014. Dr. Batchlor will assume her post on Oct. 15.
