Kansas City, Mo.-based Saint Luke’s Health System has appointed John Leifer as chief marketing and chief innovation officer, according to a St. Luke’s news release.
Mr. Leifer’s position is effective Jan. 1. He has served as interim chief marketing officer for the health system since May 2010. Mr. Leifer has an extensive background with St. Luke’s. He founded CBIZ The Leifer Group, a strategic planning and marketing company, and designed the hospital’s first advertising campaign at age 24.
As CIO, Mr. Leifer will lead the development of new ideas and methods to improve the health system’s performance. As CMO, he will be responsible for the formulation and supervision of all the system’s strategic marketing plans.
