Missouri hospital taps new chief medical officer

Mercy Hospital Joplin (Mo.) named Jesse Hatfield, MD, its new chief medical officer, KZRG reported May 9.

Dr. Hatfield has worked for Mercy for six years, the last three at Mercy Joplin, where he currently serves as the emergency department medical director. He will split his time between chief medical officer duties and continue to see patients in the emergency department.
