Patrick Avila is stepping down as CEO of Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Mo.
He has accepted a new opportunity, he wrote in a March 8 LinkedIn post. Mr. Avila called the role at Northeast Regional “an honor.”
“Rural healthcare is essential to rural communities, and I’ve been fortunate to lead alongside a dedicated team that delivers exceptional, compassionate care to families across northeast Missouri and southern Iowa,” he said. “These amazing individuals commit to providing the highest level of care to every patient, every time.”
Mr. Avila became CEO in September 2023 after serving as president and CEO of Merrick Medical Center in Central City, Neb.
The 93-bed hospital is part of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.
