The move comes ahead of Memorial Health’s planned acquisition of the 153-bed Biloxi hospital. In November, the health system struck an agreement to acquire Merit Health Biloxi from Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems in a deal that is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025.

Ms. Spear most recently served as Memorial Health’s clinical director, according to a Jan. 8 news release. In that role, she oversaw clinical operations at multiple ambulatory sites, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational efficiencies.

Memorial said in the release that she played “an integral role in introducing clinical trials to the hospital, contributed to the COVID-19 task force, and launched an outpatient monoclonal antibody infusion program during the height of the pandemic.”
