Mississippi system launches revamped leadership structure

Tupelo, Miss.-based North Mississippi Health Services has made leadership changes across several of its hospitals, effective March 30.

The changes were made to strengthen collaboration, continuity of care and long-term success, according to a March 16 health system news release.

Cathy Mitchell will oversee North Mississippi Health Services–South Marion in Winfield, Ala., and North Mississippi Medical Center–Hamilton (Ala.) as administrator under the new structure.

Robin Mixon will transition from North Mississippi Medical Center–Hamilton to North Mississippi Medical Center–Pontotoc while continuing her administrator role at North Mississippi Medical Center–Eupora.

Jamie Rodgers will continue leading North Mississippi Medical Center Gilmore–Amory as administrator and partner with Ms. Mitchell to support hospitals across Mississippi and Alabama. As part of the transition, Ms. Mixon will assume leadership at North Mississippi Medical Center–Pontotoc as Mr. Rodgers steps away from that role.

North Mississippi Health Services operates eight hospitals, more than 70 primary and specialty clinics and four nursing homes.
