Minnesota Hospital and Clinic System CEO to Retire; Committee Formed to Select Replacement

David Wessner, president and CEO of Park Nicollet Health Services, a St. Louis Park, Minn.-based hospital and clinic system, announced that he will retire at the end of the year, according to a report in the Star Tribune.

David Abelson, MD, the system’s chief medical officer, has been appointed as acting president.

Park Nicollet’s board of directors has formed a committee to select a new CEO. Dr. Abelson is a candidate for the position, according to the report.
