MidHudson Regional names associate director of medical affairs: 7 things to know

MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., part of the Valhalla, N.Y.-based WMCHealth Network, has named Lance Bruck, MD, associate director of medical affairs.

Here are seven things to know about Dr. Bruck.

1. In his new role, Dr. Bruck will be responsible for all clinical activities on the Poughkeepsie campus. He will also continue to bring in medical professionals who are backed by New York Medical College to MidHudson Regional's community hospital environment.

2. He has more than three decades of combined clinical and administrative experience.

3. Most recently, Dr. Bruck was an attending physician in the division of gynecologic oncology at the Yale Medical Group and Yale University School of Medicine.

4. Previously, he was executive director of the Stamford Healthcare Alliance and president and CEO of Stamford (Conn.) Health Integrated Practices.

5. Before that, Dr. Bruck was chairman of the department of obstetrics and gynecology for the Stamford Health System, and was vice chairman of the department of obstetrics and gynecology and women's health with the North Bronx (N.Y.) Healthcare Network

6. Earlier this year, the prestigious Robert C. Cefalo National Leadership Institute of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists named Dr. Bruck leadership fellow.

7. Dr. Bruck earned a bachelor's degree in biology and philosophy from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa., and a medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y.  Since 2011, he has served on Muhlenberg's board of trustees.
