California’s Sonoma Valley Hospital CFO Resigns

Tim Noakes, CFO and interim CEO of Sonoma (Calif.) Valley Hospital has resigned in order to pursue an opportunity in Central Valley, Calif., according to an SVH news release.

Mr. Noakes began working with SVH in Sept. 2009. In his short time at the facility, he significantly improved the hospital’s bottom line and helped the facility achieve some of its best financial reports of the past 10 years.

He also facilitated important changes in staffing levels and implemented temporary furloughs for non-medical staff. Although his staff decisions eliminated more than a dozen positions at the hospital, they also saved the facility several hundred thousand dollars.

His resignation comes just as SVH appoints Kelly Mather as new CEO. I’d link her name to your story from yesterday
