Michigan hospital taps chief nursing officer

Bronson Battle Creek (Mich.) Hospital appointed Steve Polega, BSN, RN, vice president and chief nursing officer.

Mr. Polega is returning to the system after about 11 years, according to a March 11 hospital news release. Previously, he served as a clinical coordinator and then nurse manager of the trauma and emergency center from 2001 to 2012 before moving to University of Michigan Health-West, where he served in various leadership roles before becoming chief nursing officer in 2017.

At Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, Mr. Polega will oversee patient care delivery and lead operational improvement and continual advancement for nursing professionals.
