Michael Kozar named CEO of Northwest Florida Community Hospital: 6 things to know

Northwest Florida Healthcare has named Michael Kozar CEO of Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, according to a Washington County News/Holmes County Times Advertiser report.

 Here are six things to know about Mr. Kozar.

1. He begins his job Jan. 1. 

2. Mr. Kozar has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience in acute care, acute rehabilitation, long-term care, home healthcare, hospice and physician practice management. 

3. He joins NFCH from Carrollton, Ky.-based Carroll County Memorial Hospital, where he has directed operations.

4. During his tenure at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, where Mr. Kozar recruited nine new healthcare providers, established various new services and clinics, and implemented new EMR software, according to the report. 

5. Previously, Mr. Kozar was COO of Advanced Radiology Services, a physician-owned radiology practice in Grand Rapids, Mich.

6. He is a graduate of Bethany (W.Va.) College, Bethany, andis working toward a Master of Business Administration.
