Michael Alexander appointed CEO of Jamestown Regional Medical Center: 4 things to know

West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Rennova Health named Michael Alexander CEO of Jamestown (Tenn.) Regional Medical Center, effective June 10.

Four things to know:

1. Mr. Alexander most recently served as a hospital administrator with Tanner Health System in Carrollton, Ga.

2. He holds a master’s degree in community counseling from Georgia State University in Atlanta.

3. He takes over leadership of the hospital at a time of financial difficulty. The hospital is set to lose its Medicare and Medicaid funding.

4. Jamestown Regional Medical Center is an 85-bed facility with a 24-hour emergency department and a progressive care unit providing telemetry services.
