MetroHealth appoints chief strategy officer

Cleveland-based MetroHealth System appointed Peter Benkowski chief strategy officer and senior vice president.

Mr. Benkowski will oversee the system’s strategic partnerships, affiliations and business planning, as well as guide its strategic planning process to transform delivery of health and wellness services in Northeast Ohio, according to a June 26 system news release. He will step into his new role July 15.

Previously, Mr. Benkowski served as senior vice president of strategy at Hennepin Healthcare, a safety-net system in Minneapolis.
